Do you know about the study where we can learn integration of humanities and social sciences in order to promote civic competence? Yes, we can find it in the social science . On the first level, we can find social sciences in a set of course during the secondary, elementary, middle, and also high schools.

However, we can also find it in specific study of human society at tertiary or post secondary schools around the world. Some of the most common social studies are civics, sociology, anthropology, history, geography, political science, religion, and economics.

One of the studies in is it the cultural studies. Actually, it is a little bit difficult to define such study. Why? It is because the study combines so many other fields to make its critical theory.

The studies that can be combined in cultural studies are art history, political economy, museum studies, communication, philosophy, sociology, and cultural anthropology.

When using the combination of those fields, the cultural studies are using them to study cultural phenomena in various societies.

The link between one study to another is commonly seen from the works of cultural study researchers relates particular phenomenon to matters of sexuality, ethnicity, gender, nationality, ideology, etc. Cultural studies are very different with cross cultural studies since the latter is a specialization in anthropology.
